Cynthia Gaines is a certified biblical counselor through the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC), passionate about helping women and children find lasting hope and healing through God’s Word.

As a wife and mother of four, Cynthia understands the real-life struggles that come with marriage, motherhood, and walking through seasons of suffering. She has seen firsthand that true transformation comes not from self-help or temporary fixes, but from the sufficiency of Scripture and the steadfast love of Christ.

Whether navigating anxiety, relational conflict, grief, or spiritual discouragement, Cynthia offers a compassionate, Scripture-saturated approach that aims at the heart and points to lasting change in Jesus.

I know biblical counseling works—because I’ve lived it, and I’ve watched the Lord use it to restore lives. My goal is to come alongside you with grace, truth, and the hope that only Christ can provide.

Why Biblical Counsel?
Biblical counseling offers lasting hope and heart transformation by applying God’s Word to life’s struggles—because true healing is found in Christ, not just in coping.

God’s Word is Sufficient
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” — 2 Timothy 3:16
Why:
Biblical counseling trusts that God has given us everything we need for life and godliness (2 Peter 1:3). Rather than relying on ever-shifting human theories, we turn to the unchanging truth of Scripture, which addresses both our deepest hurts and our sinful responses.
The Heart is the Focus
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23
Why:
While secular counseling often focuses on behavior or symptom management, biblical counseling seeks to understand the heart behind the struggle—our desires, beliefs, and motives—and applies God’s truth to bring lasting heart change, not just temporary relief.
Christ is the Healer
“Come to me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28
Why:
True healing is not found in coping mechanisms but in a person—Jesus Christ. Biblical counseling points people to Christ as the source of hope, forgiveness, healing, and transformation.

Hope Is Anchored in God’s Promises
“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.” — Hebrews 6:19
Why:
Biblical counseling offers hope that does not depend on circumstances. This kind of hope is not fleeting or fragile—it is rooted in the faithful character of God, who keeps His promises and redeems brokenness for His glory.
Counsel is Given in Love and Truth
“Speak the truth in love...” — Ephesians 4:15
Why:
Biblical counseling happens in the context of compassionate, truth-filled relationships. It’s not cold instruction or harsh judgment—it’s a gentle, loving walk alongside someone with open Bibles and open hearts, seeking the Lord together.
God Gets the Glory
“Whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.” — 1 Corinthians 10:31
Why:
Ultimately, biblical counseling doesn’t just aim to make life more manageable—it seeks to restore people to worship, obedience, and joy in God, which is where true peace and purpose are found.
